Microsoft Exchange Services |
|
|
Do you have an old version of Microsoft Exchange and want to migrate to the latest version? We can assist your IT department or handle the implementation ourselves, with comprehensive Microsoft Exchange server implementation services. We can ensure your local and remote mail users get the scalability, reliability, security and performance they require. And, we can achieve that goal while avoiding or minimizing the disruptions normally associated with a Microsoft Exchange Server migration.
We are experts in:
- Microsoft Exchange Server installation
- Upgrades to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003
- Microsoft Exchange Server migration and customization services
How we proceed:
Microsoft Exchange Server Readiness Assessment – We will review your current environment, including the Windows 2000/2003 domain, network and SMTP architectures. Required changes or issues that may pose undue risk for the migration will be documented over the course of the assessment.
Microsoft Exchange Server Planning, Design and Implementation – We will analyze business requirements and map them to Microsoft Exchange Server capabilities. Then, the physical and logical design of the Exchange Server architecture will be defined along with the major tasks that will take place over the course of the installation, upgrade or migration project. If required, the service team will also review the current message environment, existing domains and the network architecture. We also install and configure Microsoft Exchange Server software and all relevant Microsoft Service Packs and Hot Fixes. The Windows NT (WNT) network protocols, the Microsoft Exchange Server connectors for Internet Mail, Mail Service, Microsoft Mail and cc:Mail, along with the Exchange Server client software for networked clients will be configured, as appropriate. The client connection to the server and a mailbox and the ability to send and receive mail to and from the server will be verified.
E-mail Server Archiving & Storage Assessment – This service is designed to gather metrics on current usage profiles and data retention as well as gather usage metrics for servers and storage and network traffic. The information is then reviewed and recommendations on system configuration are developed based on performance results and the number of anticipated users.
Microsoft Exchange Server Test Pilot – Provides a practical approach to test concepts that may include customized applications, testing new versions and backup of the production environment. Based on the results of the pilot, the logical and physical designs of the Exchange Server architecture will be updated along with any special implementation activities.
Complete documentation and basic training will be conducted for the ongoing maintenance of the system.
Microsoft Exchange Server Support – PC USA offers flexible support plans targeted to meet the needs of help desk personnel or IT professionals, including on-site and telephone support.
PC USA also specializes in emergency Microsoft Exchange Server upgrades, when a customer's mail systems are down and a migration to a new server and Microsoft Exchange Server is the only option.
Microsoft Exchange Server 2000/2003
Exchange Server, the Microsoft messaging and collaboration server, enables businesses to send and receive electronic mail and other forms of interactive communication through computer networks. Designed to interoperate with a software client application such as Microsoft Outlook, Exchange Server also interoperates with Outlook Express and other e-mail client applications.
Exchange Server offers integrated collaborative messaging features such as scheduling, contact and task management capabilities. Exchange Server 2003 runs on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Windows 2000 Server operating systems. Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 runs on Windows-based computers and communicates with the server running Exchange Server through the MAPI protocol that includes powerful messaging and rich collaboration capabilities. Exchange Server also accommodates other client access through its support for Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3) and Internet Message Access Protocol 4 (IMAP4) protocols as well as support for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). Microsoft Outlook Web Access, a service in Exchange Server, accommodates what are known as thin clients (Web browser–based access clients).
Exchange Server 2003 supports mobile devices such as Pocket PC and Smartphones and enables businesses to synchronize an Inbox, Calendar and Contacts and Tasks lists to remotely check appointments and other important information. Mobile device browsers are also supported through Exchange Outlook Mobile Access, which enables HTML, compressed HTML (CHTML) and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) browser–based devices to access Exchange Server.

Exchange Server 2007 Product Overview
|
| For most businesses today, e-mail is the mission-critical communications tool that allows their people to produce the best results. This greater reliance on e-mail has increased the number of messages sent and received, the variety of work getting done, and even the speed of business itself. Amid this change, employee expectations have also evolved. Today, employees look for rich, efficient access--to e-mail, calendars, attachments, contacts, and more--no matter where they are or what type of device they are using. For IT professionals, delivering a messaging system that addresses these needs must be balanced against other requirements such as security and cost. Enterprise security requirements have become more complex as the demand and use for e-mail has increased. Today, IT departments must contend with e-mail security threats that are wide ranging: continually evolving spam and viruses, noncompliance risks, the vulnerability of e-mail to interception and tampering, in addition to the potential harmful effects of natural and man-made disasters. While security is clearly a priority, IT is ever cognizant of the need to manage cost. Time, money, and resource constraints are a fact of life as IT is made accountable to do more with less. As a result, IT professionals look for a messaging system that addresses enterprise and employee needs while also being cost-effective to manage. The system must be efficient to deploy, provide a high return on investment, and allow the messaging administrator to be as productive as possible. Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 has been designed specifically to meet the above challenges and address the needs of the different groups who have a stake in the messaging system. The new capabilities of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 deliver the advanced protection your company demands, the anywhere access your people want, and the operational efficiency you, in IT, need. |
